Dr. Donovan Christie
MD, Founder, and Medical Director
Dr. Donovan Christie, MD is the founder of ANWAN Wellness Medical Center P.C., the ANWAN Regenerative Center and the Picture of Health Foundation Inc since 2000. He is passionate about preventive medicine as the practice focuses on integrative and functional medicine utilizing practical lifestyle interventions such as nutrition, exercise, spirituality, natural neutraceuticals, hormone replacement, stem cell and platelet rich plasma therapy, detoxification, intravenous nutritional infusions, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, and pellet therapy. Dr. Christie received his MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency from Columbia University and his anti-aging, integrative and regenerative fellowship from the American Academy of AntiAging Medicine.
He founded the Picture of Health foundation Inc, a non-profit organization that focuses on short term medical outreach locally and internationally and wellness education and health screens nationally. He is an author, educator and assistant professor of Medicine at the Ross University school of Medicine.
Shannon Christie
APRN, FNP-C
Shannon Christie, APRN, FNP-C, has practiced as a Family Nurse practitioner for 10 years. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle, New York in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She completed her Master of Science degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Kennesaw State University in Georgia in 2013. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Having 10 years working in an Emergency room capacity as an RN, Shannon is very experienced in Urgent Care. Shannon has developed an interest in family, holistic, and integrative medicine via the influence of her Dad, Medical Director, and philanthropist Donovan Christie. She enjoys serving at her Church and educating her patients on maintaining health, wellness coaching, and mindfulness. Shannon spends her free time with her children, cooking, reading, doing outdoor activities, and going on Medical mission trips that include Peru, Senegal, and Uganda thus far.
Dr. Laronda Ward, DC
Dr. Ronda Ward DC, is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and Naturopath. She graduated from Life University and Trinity School of Natural Health with extensive research in Functional Medicine and nutrition. Through proper correction of nutritional deficiencies and mal alignment of the spine, Dr. Ward aids the body in restoring health. To facilitate wellness, she utilizes a variety of Chiropractic techniques in concert with Applied Nutritional Analysis, Kinesio-testing, neuro-modalities, and Iridology. Every day the body undergoes an infinite amount of mechanical, emotional, environmental, and chemical stressors that contribute to disease. Dr. Ward’s extensive training allows her to employ homeopathic medicine, herbs, and therapeutic grade supplementation to assist the body in resolving fundamental deficiencies to reverse chronic disease states.
Dr. Ward is proud to serve the athletes of the Special Olympics of GA. She is a community advocate, serving, volunteering, and lending her knowledge, support, and expertise on a host of community boards, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare forums.
Dr. Tahereh Naderi
Dr. Tahereh Naderi is a board-certified physician in family and integrative medicine. She also practices medical acupuncture in the treatment of chronic and acute pain disorders, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, insomnia, and substance use disorders like tobacco. She was born in Benin, West Africa, and moved to the United States when she was 11. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Buffalo in NY. She lived in Ecuador for 2 years, working in various community-building activities with children and youth. She also worked as a medical assistant before attending medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to Santa Rosa, California for her residency training. She graduated from residency in 2020 and completed a 1-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine focusing on Functional Medicine and Acupuncture. She worked at a community health center in Oakland, CA before moving to Georgia to be closer to family.
She enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family in her free time. She speaks Spanish fluently and has basic knowledge of French and Farsi. She is excited to serve this community and passionate about bringing Integrative Medicine to underserved populations.
Christina SmallsPhysician Assistant
Christina is a board-certified Physician Assistant, originally from Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science with a minor in nonprofit leadership from Clemson University. She continued her education at Morehouse School of Medicine, earning her Master’s in Public Health. After working in various sectors of public health for nearly ten years, she returned to school and earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Practice. As a provider who is dedicated to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, she is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in medicine. Outside of work, Christina loves spending quality time with her husband and family, traveling, and serving her community.
William DufourPhysician Assistant
After graduating high school in metro Atlanta, I attended the University of Georgia to earn my Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. I then continued my studies at Augusta University to complete my Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. I began my career at an urgent care in Augusta, Georgia and am excited to be back home in the Atlanta area. My hobbies and interests include soccer, basketball, volleyball, traveling, and medical mission work.
